A fun survey about our lives

We have setup a survey on survey monkey to collect data about our lives since graduation. It is just for fun, we will collect no personally identifying information, and this the results will go no further than this site.

Click here to send us your data.

We’ll post the results on the site when we have them. Let us know if you have any great ideas for a survey.

Smith Fund

Exciting news! Our classmate, Anne Geraghty, is challenging our class to raise $1 million dollars for Smith this year. If we raise $500,000 by the Friday of reunion weekend (May 20), Anne will contribute an amazing gift of $500,000 to get us to $1 million in total. We’ve already raised $276,000; this leaves us only $224,000 to raise in the next two months. We can do it!

Help us meet our challenge by giving online at http://www.smith.edu/thefundtoday. While we encourage you to be as generous as possible, any amount you can give will help get us closer to our $1 million goal.

Then, please spread the word to all our classmates to get their help with this important challenge. Our gifts will help Smith offer more financial aid, support the superb faculty, and develop the innovative programs that make Smith so extraordinary.

Sincerely,

Lisa Black, Gail Niemitz Fritzinger, Wendy Laurin, and Deb Zonies

Memorial Letter

Dear Class of 1981:

We hope that you all have marked your calendars to join us at our quickly approaching 30th Class Reunion on May 19 – 22, 2011.

As we prepare for our 30th reunion, we would like to take the opportunity to remember classmates who are no longer with us. To honor these beloved classmates, we are putting together a memory book with pictures and remembrances of these wonderful women. With only two months until our 30th reunion, it will take a village to put this together, but we are hoping for your help.

You can help in two ways:

First, you can be the primary point of contact for one of our deceased classmates and, in that role, reach out to other friends and gather photos, remembrances, and other memorabilia about these women. Or you can help identify classmates or family members who could be a good point of contact to gather information.

Second, you can send pictures, offer a remembrance, or simply write a few words about our deceased classmates to include in the memory book.

Our point of contact for this memory book is our class co-secretary, Mary Louise Wagner. Please contact her at marylouisewagner@aol.com if you are willing to help in any way on this project from touching base with classmates, sending photographs or writing a few words about one of our deceased classmates. You can also post any thoughts on our class Facebook and WordPress sites.

Help us remember and honor:

REUNITE

SAVE THE DATE! OUR 30th REUNION IS MAY 19-22, 2011

Dear 1981 Classmates,

I hope the fall of 2010 finds you and yours well.  Fall always reminds me of going back to Smith and the beauty of the College and Northampton.

Our 30th Reunion is rapidly approaching and our Reunion Chair Donna Fettuccia Templeton and the entire Reunion Committee are working hard to pull together a great reunion.  So mark your calendars and get ready to see your old friends and classmates! We want to see everyone in Northampton in May.

Our goal is to keep our great tradition as a class alive by reaching out to all of our classmates and encouraging them to come to reunion and get involved with Smith.  Everyone is busy, but it doesn’t take much time out of your day, week, or month to participate.  So give Donna or anyone on the Reunion Committee a call and let them know how you would like to help.

Looking forward to seeing you in Northampton,

Ivy
